Origins: Crouchers was founded in 1910 on the Isle of Wight by Adolphus Croucher, the original Crouchers was a General Store, Bakehouse and Post Office - a true community hub that served locals with integrity, warmth and care.

Reimagined: Over a century later, his great-grandson, Ben Matthews, reimagined the family business for today. CROUCHERS.COM launched in 2022 as a digital pop-up celebrating modern British makers, carrying forward the brands founding spirit of service and connection.

Today: CROUCHERS.COM is a modern general store, an online destination curating British-made homeware, gifts and design-led everyday objects. It blends heritage brands with emerging independents that celebrate craft, quality and British creativity.
